We have certainly soaked up (excuse the pun) the ambience of the South Atlantic! There can be no doubt that this was much more of an adventurous experience that we would have had on Endurance! The whole team has done really well and we are looking forward enormously to the next phase. Our first sight of South Georgia really bowled us over – it’s truly spectacular. Pat and Sarah Lurcock (SG Government Officers) invited us all into their house at KEP (King Edward Point) for tea and cakes on arrival and generally made us feel very welcome. We will stay here (KEP) tonight and go into Husvik tomorrow morning. Moral is extremely high, especially having completed the sea voyage!
